Enjoy delectable spanish and cuban food in this historical Tampa favorite. The Columbia Restaurant first opened it’s doors in 1905 and has been winning the people of Tampa over ever since. Their menu offers a wide variety, featuring pork, beef, and seafood dishes. They also have a fabulous Flamenco show every night (other than Sundays). They’ve seen so much success in their 110 years, they’ve been able to open up several other locations in the Florida area, but nothing beats the original in Ybor City.
This family owned steakhouse has been serving up legendary steaks since 1953. One of the best things about this restaurant is that the majority of their vegetables are fresh, straight from the their farm. Be sure to come hungry when you eat at Bern’s, steaks are served with salad, garlic toast, onion soup, baked potato, organic vegetables, and onion rings. They also have one of the largest wine collections in the world, with over 7,000 vintages.
If you love change, then you’ll love The Refinery. This charming restaurant changes their menu weekly! That’s right, and they very rarely repeat dishes. So, everytime you go you’ll be offered something new and exciting to try. Be sure to get there early or make a reservation, because this place packs out quickly.
Edison Food + Drink Lab
This restaurant is so fun! If you are looking for a different and unusual dining experience, then you need to head to Edison’s. Modeling their decor and cuisine after their name, the science theme is very present. You will find beakers all around the restaurant, and try food combinations you would have never expected. They are constantly experimenting with their menu and trying out new flavors to impress their customers. With items on their menu like the Black Garlic Potato-Crusted Filet Mignon or the Lump Crab Squash Blossom Rangoon, you’ll be sure to try something you’ve never eaten before.
Dinner with a view, anyone?Located on the 14th floor of the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, this fine dining restaurant holds spectacular views of the city of Tampa. While you take in those views, enjoy entrees such as the Scaloppini di Vitello “Armani’s, which is a house favorite. Their entire menu is Northern Italy inspired, featuring pasta, steak, poultry, and seafood. You might even catch a glimpse of your favorite celebrity while you’re there, as many celebrities are known to dine at Armani’s when they’re in town.
