We get it, Tampa in summer is hot! Luckily, there are tons of fun options that are also indoors, or shaded and cool! Check out these great picks.
Glazer Children’s Museum – Fun for the kids, the Glazer Museum has tons of different exhibits and play areas, including a mini Publix, and hands-on science experiments and art activities.
Florida Aquarium – The Florida Aquarium is a great way to see all the underwater creatures and sea life. It’s fun for kid and adults, and there is also a newly renovated splash pad outside to keep the kids cool (and a covered area and covered tiki bar from where you can watch them).
Tampa Museum of Art – Right next door to the Children’s Museum is the Tampa Museum of Art. This is a beautiful space with short and long-term exhibitions, plus a lovely cafe that offers nice riverside views.
Tampa Theatre – Tampa Theatre is a historic landmark and a fantastic place to watch movies you can’t see elsewhere. Keep an eye out for their schedule of classic and independent films.
